Hello, my name is Gliz Caldo.
I've been a YouTuber creator for *six years (seven in September) and I've gotten nowhere. It's not like I just sat on my channel and done nothing with it and expected subscribers, pity and cash. I've made over five hundred videos and produced royalty free content that people have found many uses for. I'll be honest, during the time YouTube was changing, I was scared to make content and grew to hate the platform. You can see in my channel how I started to become reluctant to upload videos and some let's plays I've made aren't as interesting or entertaining, because I didn't want to give YouTube the chance to remove any means my channel can grow. During the new YouTube Partner Program, I tried to be positive and give a differing opinion on the whole situation, but truthfully I was ready to quit.
If small channels were going to be snuffed out just because of corporate interest and greed, I wanted to leave. When all my videos were finally demonetized until further notice, I felt less compelled to follow YouTube's guidelines. I joined DTube and I'm ready to make more videos for YouTube. My plan for my channels is simple: make videos for both platforms and if one video is too "risky" for Youtube (I'm sure you can imagine what's too "risky" for YouTube), I'll make a trailer for it on YouTube and link it to it's full release on DTube.
What I hope to do with my channel in the future is make more educational content surrounding my career choice as a Veterinary Technician. Of course I'd also like to make more videos that have free sound effects, stock footage, let's plays of greatly lesser known indie games and honestly whatever I want to upload that's within reason.

*Actually, I'm a decade-old YouTuber. I've made an old account back in 2008 but I abandoned it for a clean slate. So yes, I remember the good old days of being a creator. Like, only able to make 15-minute long videos until I was invited to be a YouTube partner and all that.
