YouTube has engaged 3rd parties to support their own internal teams moderating, demonetizing, age restricting, goolaging and deleting content. These 3rd parties are almost exclusively left-leaning and/or Regressive organizations, such as the Southern Poverty Law Center, the Anti-Defamation League and Anita Sarkeesian a.k.a. Feminist Frequency. This in addition to (and probably for the same reason as) most of YouTube's staff being left-leaning. The result of this situation is that moderation, demonetization, age restriction, goolaging and deletion seems to disproportionately hit right-leaning videos.
An obvious solution is for YouTube to make sure that the groups that do the moderation, demonetization, age restriction, goolaging and deletion, (as well as those doing any kind of promotion e.g. the Trending page, Similar Videos, etc.) are representative for the YouTube users and content creators communities w.r.t. political orientation, and ideological / religious beliefs.
YouTube could even tout this as a social initiative. YouTube's current policies segregate, polarize and isolate the communities along political and ideological lines. With a mix of moderators and censors properly representing the YT user community, this can be inverted. It could be a showcase that Left and Right, conservative and Regressive, liberal and autoritarian, can actually talk to each other, exchange ideas, and learn to understand each other's positions and world views.
