If they do it they will have some kind of new or expanded video platform but it will not be through S3 I would think. Well not directly. Also there is very little chance they would even talk to us before they announce real plans to compete against Youtube. And we do not know if they are even really planning this.

If anyone can pull it off, it's going to be Bezos. Competition is always good and he describes himself as a libertarian which is great; BUT he did donate money to John 'roaming hands' Conyers. No real libertarian would vote democrat.

It's not about pulling it off from a technical stand point. The biggest difficulty is having viewership and that is extremely difficult to steer.
There are several up and running Youtube replacements but people are not willing to explore other platforms.

It's not about pulling it off from a technical stand point. The biggest difficulty is having viewership and that is extremely difficult to steer. There are several up and running Youtube replacements but people are not willing to explore other platforms. I would have assumed the logistics of finding sponsors would have been the greatest hurdle. |

They can drive traffic from Amazon itself not to mention Twitch. But the big problem is why should Amazon spend the money to do it?
