Gentlemen! in my continuing efforts to broaden awareness of our cause, I felt bold enough to broach the topic with one of my favourite YT personalities in his weekly rant and Q-A. I have included a link below for your convenience, the relevant section begins at 28:55

Now it wasn't a huge surprise to me that, Tex (of the Black Pants Legion) was supportive of our goals; but from the response, I feel as though joining a facebook group is something of a superficial gesture. I intend to write to him and give him those instructions and avail him of the forum; but I feel as though a commitment should be more than clicking a button. That's a good start of course, but obviously some contributors have more to offer than others. For instance: I'm a collaborative screenwriter and as such I have little skin in the game. Compare that to MXR whom I wrote just moments ago with over 1.6M subscribers. Both of us can click the join button but our contribution is far from equal.
The point of this post is that we must assign credit where it is due. Sure we've got 10k people in the group, but they could all be clean-skins like me with nothing tangible to contribute. In this case, numbers alone mean nothing and carry no weight with the neutral observer, the media or with Youtube.
Just hours ago I was perhaps unfairly critical of the big YT channels as they are 'preferred' people and wouldn't want to jeopardize their position by supporting us. But assume for a moment that they did... They would risk their livelihood just to be 10,001 amongst those who have demonstrated no more commitment than pressing a button? Would it be an intelligent move to do so?
So what is the solution? As I have touched upon, numbers and names are our weapon. Commitment is everything! I know some members here are working on the website at the moment, I haven't seen it yet but I'll make one vital suggestion for it:
It should be a list. When people sign to the cause, they'll be given a broad overview of our goals in check-boxes. If they agree to all of them, then they'll be given the opportunity to state their name(s) (optional) channel, number of subscribers and a brief message. This descending list (in order of subs) should be placed very prominently in bold print on the website as I strongly feel all other matters are secondary to it. Additionally these numbers should be added and presented in terms of statistics, and also as a counting number as can be seen on other websites such as the horrific www.usdebtclock.org/ It will also give people a chance to see who else is there... I've been on this forum from the start, and I only know that Lindybeige, is a member because he was mentioned in passing... We are throwing our power and their goodwill away, we need that list!
The people are the heroes of this cause, we should celebrate and reward the commitment of those with the most to give and the most to lose. We need to show YT that we are not mere numbers, we are committed.
Update: Additionally, it has come to my attention that prospective members from larger channels have expressed some concern that their influence will be used in negotiation; but they will not have direct control over those negotiations. In consideration, I propose that leadership should comprise of those with the greatest following in terms of some combined metric of subscribers and views. These people should automatically be sorted into a quorum* of elites that will vote on individual matters of policy. The structure and general aims of the league as Joerg has described them will remain resolute.
*A quorum is a group of 40 members.
