You know, seeing that video from Mr DeFranco has really took the wind out of my sails, as I am sure it has many many others. Really does sort of ram it home. If they can do that to a popular, decent, non-controversy-hunting guy that puts out well produced professional content AND has a massive audience / subscriber balance, then really, what chance do the rest of us have. Defeatest? Maybe. Realist? Very probably, I think. Every small creator I'm sure can handle the possibility - the probability - that they will never make decent money at YouTube, that isn't what it is about and nor should it be IMO. But when they show that the playing field isn't level to even reach people and grow something even with no revenue, when they show that there is no equal opportunity and chance regardless of how hard we graft, well, hope starts to fade. So yeah, thats how it is going, and for a great many of us I'd wager  |
