Hello everyone. My name is Niobarn. I am an avid internet user, and a concerned individual on the status of YouTube.
You may have heard of me before. I was involved with the YouTuber fan club: "The 9 Year Old Army Special Unit" during the subscriber war between Swedish YouTuber PewDiePie and Bollywood Record Label T-Series. Amidst PewDiePie's defeat in the race to 100M, we flew a banner with the message; "Subscribe 2 PewDiePie" in New York City as a final gesture towards the corporate overlords on YouTube's platform.
Unfortunately in the end, T-Series won. Aside from that however, out of the subscriber war between the two channels, YouTube has been going into a downward spiral more and more so as it seems. And in today's YouTube, it has become a shell of it's former self, long after the golden age had left us. The dominant rampage of quantity over quality and an unstable and unfair management of both monetary and controversial issues by it's leadership have poisoned the site for the second half of this decade. All of it leading to a majority of creators being shut out of the spotlight, in favor of mainstream entertainment, and a mass censorship of freedoms of speech, expression and monetization.
That's where we say, Enough is ENOUGH.
As of now, we are preparing to protest the unfairness and injustices of YouTube's content creators in our own campaign. Project: Firemark. While the YouTube Union will be doing their work in Europe, we will be doing our part in North America, spreading the word, and enlightening the community with the truth about this once great platform. We have been searching all over the internet to find an opportunity to get this campaign started, and Joerg Sprave's "FairTube" Project is the perfect one.
We ourselves have done our part in keeping the spirit of YouTube strong by doing unimaginable things, hence the airplane banner in NYC. And we hope that with your support, we can do even better with saving our website from the clutches of corporate corruption and thievery.
We hope to work with you very soon Mr. Sprave.
