Self interest? Sure. I want the old YouTube back, and if we don't fight that ain't gonna happen. But I don't want anything SPECIAL for me.
Regarding free speech, I am all for it, and I want YouTube to allow free speech WITHIN CLEARLY DEFINED COMMUNITY GUIDELINES too. But keep in mind this place ("General") is for discussions about our task (correcting things at YT) and no place for political debate. Use the "Off topic" for such discussions please.

It's going to be special for everyone! Don't downplay your part in this, it surely wouldn't exist without you and I'm hugely appreciative of that. As far as I know, what's happening here has never happened before so of course there's going to be a lot of debate over how to proceed. Evangelists like myself see the world in a paradigm of politics, but for the benefit of the cause I'm working hard to reign that in.
The way I see it, we need to get the creative elite onto a bus and sent them off to Galt's ranch for a while and the rest will solve itself. This union is all about logistics.

I'm curious as to what anyone thinks we need to do to organise at this stage. Several people have questions about organisation. I wonder what anyone asking thinks the organisation should look like.
Currently there is Joerg dealing with the midiaz interviews etc and keeping everyone up to date on the Facebook group.
There's a couple of mods here to look after the forums. The website is getting done.
Other than that all we need to be doing right now is spreading the word and sharing our thoughts on what we think the issues are. Spreading the word does not need organisation, it's for everyone to go do. The forum mods have done a great job highlighting or pinning threads that are particularly productive in determining direction.
I'm not sure there is a need to further organise until after the initial talks with YouTube. All the administrative things that need to be done are getting done, unless there's something we haven't thought of.
Perhaps if we decide to carry out some actions later some more administration may be required.
So ultimately the question, what do we need to organise now that isn't already getting done?

I agree, things are good for now. This works, clearly.
