For a while I've been saying YouTube is going to become like older classical media. A big part of what drew people to YouTube was it being different. My concern has been that as YouTube becomes more like the media that pushed people to YouTube the more it opens a door to it's own death as eventually someone else will create a platform that will do what YouTube did when it was new.

Someone on Reddit was just complaining about the way YouTube is becoming boring and repetitive like classical media so I thought I'd highlight his comment.

Mountains can be moved. You just have to move the first stone, soon someone else who wants the mountian moved will join you. Eventually everyone sees the benefit of moving the mountian and many hands make light work. Do not be afraid to move the first stone. Any task is only impossible if no one moves the first stone.

I hear they are planning to become an on demand provider and have tv channels upload shows. That will mean they have to conform to the same guidelines that make tv boring. Makes sense when you see what they now consider problematic
