I don't think we should be blaming PDP. It wasnt his fault the advertisers lost their shit over a bad joke. It wasn't his fault YouTube caved and lost their shit over it. Ther eis no good reason to turn our backs on a large creator, even if he was at the center of the controversy.

Look, there's no denying that he's partially responsible for this mess, as notice the "mainstream" media didn't really start majorly going after YT till the most subscribed channel F'ed up one to many times. Thus giving them a reason to go after the site. Even he knows this deep down. Also Felix seemly refuses to cover the YouTubersUnion in his "pewnews" show. |

Logan Paul due to his high exposure, could of also caused this. However you're right about the way it was managed, as it wasn't and to this day it's yet to be properly. |

He wasn't being derogatory towards who he was saying it to, nor was he being derogatory towards the entire African American community, nor anyone one individual.

Him saying the word in the context he said it IS NOT WHAT IS PERPETUATING RACISM.
What YouTube and the advertisers did in response is what is perpetuating racism.
Everyone else made what he said racist.
He wasn't being racist.
And this also applies to the Hitler thing.
It wasn't that big of a deal. It was not pewds fault.
The advertisers, YouTube and the media simply reacted in the most shitty way when SOME people got butthurt.
They attacked him. He didn't attack African Americans or Jewish or anyone.
This is what is wrong with YouTube and advertisers.
They are being wayyyyy to strict and not taking context or trolling or shitposting into account.
They are being too professional and holding stupid reasons accountable.
What needs to change is advertisers need to speak up directly and say: "this dude was trolling. Get the fuck over it. If you can't handle the internet, don't go on the internet."
