In February, we announced new steps, beyond our existing strikes system, that we may take in the rare event that one creator’s actions risk harming the entire community. Our goal is to strengthen the community, and we hope to rarely use these new steps.

My question is, when's YT going to punish CNN? As it has a channel on your site and it's published a report basically, which puts the site into question once again.

How does the stupid news threads get ridiculous views no matter what the topic. I believe youtube censors politcal content that is not mainstream or down right propoganda. Even on the popular channels the views jump between 10000 to 5000 to 1200 those numbers are too high to be popularity of whatever consistently the same numbers for any political esk or protest demonstrate activists left or right kinda material.

Honestly I think CNN is taking the opportunity to damage YouTube since they want all that add revenue to return to classical media.
YouTube is likely taking the approach that fighting fire with fire only creates a bigger fire. But not fighting fire only creates a burn down house.
If I were YouTube I would get a rival news source in and give them mre info on how youtube works and get them to kill CNNs spin.

I believe youtube censors political content that is not mainstream or down right propaganda. I think that is undoubtedly happening. I think my channel was one of the first targeted because of my political reporting. The very first video I had demonetized was "Debunking Boston Police Commissioner's Word for Boston Bombing Suspects as evidence of conspiracy" Published on Apr 23, 2013 and demonetized on Apr 23, 2013 or the next day. I posted about this problem in YouTube forums back in 2013 and heard back from Peggy in 2013 that YouTUbe removed monetization from my video because of the topic! I continued to complain about this practice, here I am again complaining about it in several posts in this forum: productforums.google.com/forum/#!topic/monetization-on-youtube/wFnRbD37ah0 * And contrary to the notion that the push for this practice came from advertisers, I saw how demonetization started by a push from some irate viewers. Specifically, it looks like the conspiracy nuts about the Boston bombing pissed off some viewers and those viewers got it in their heads that it would be a good idea to demand that videos claiming that the Boston bombing was fake should not be allowed to have ads! (This is what I gather from my research of some people making video complaints to Youtube.
