We need to sort out and plan how to proceed.
Where should we increase awareness? How should we increase awareness? How should we make sure we keep fighting for a better Youtube and not fighting against Youtube itself? Should we use Youtube? If so, how?
These are just a few questions we have to figure out.

In what capacity would it be advisable for us to ascertain we perpetuate battling for a superior Youtube and not battling against Youtube itself? By carefully battling youtube

So right off the bat, we need a YouTube channel. I mean come on, we're YouTubers, this is something we know how to do! We need a short, professionally edited video stating: - The problem with YouTube
- Our response (which was create this Union)
- Our goals (don't use words like "demands")
- Our values (we love YouTube and creative content, we want to work together to make it better)
Feature this as the flagship channel video. Later, put together playlists of short, well-spoken videos about... - More detailed explanations of all of the above
- News, updates, calls to action
- Testimonials of YouTube partners, large and small. What YouTube means to them, and how the changes in policy affected them
I think the last one- the ability to tell a story- is the single most effective way to get our message across.

We should have people that are representatives of certain kinds of channels on youtube - gun channels, animation channels, gaming channels, that sort of thing. Also maybe a representative of people that use youtube but do not upload content themselves. They would appear in any videos that might be made in the future speaking for those channels they represent and maybe act as moderators on the forum.
Of course, it's all up to Joerg how to proceed. I'm sure he must have some general plan for the short term

He's right here 100% Don't say demands, while strong language to get the point across is needed, saying goals is a much better alternative. Demands intones a directly confrontational stance, While words like 'Goals" intone there is room for negotiation or at the very least some conversation. Just my 2 cents. ~Game Goblin~

I recommend also starting a page on Minds. Its a great site and the users over there will be very sympathetic towards us.

Jorg used the word "demands" in the video announcing this union, if I'm not mistaken. At this early stage (not yet even close to negotiation) I think that is desirable to use whatever words motivate A LOT of YouTubers to sign on and openly support this union. Polite words will probably not do the job. Google / YouTube will not listen regardless of the language used, until and unless "the numbers" demand it.

Personally I feel that Joerg's initial video did an admirable job of explaining our position.

I think he did a great job of explaining it as well, but I also know that a large chunk of people will see a 20-minute video length in the thumbnail and be disinclined to click. I watched it because I sub his channel, but the people who don't likely won't take the time.
All that Joerg said relating to what the Union is, why it is necessary, and what the demands/goals are could be condensed into four or five minutes. Real stats and graphs on screen would be helpful as well. A little professionalism goes a long way to diversifying your audience.

I think with this in Mind a Union Chanel would be a good idea because we can project the whole bandwith of the Union this way so others (or maybe Youtube/Google itself) who are not Members can see that we are a Mixture of different Interest groups and not (what outstanding people might think) just one Interest Group from an off topic side of Youtube.

There is already a channel, Jörg created it. It's just not filled with anything yet.
